Unclaimed Barron Park alley causing anxiety

Original post made on Sep 9, 2008

An orphaned alleyway in the Barron Park neighborhood — and the nighttime shenanigans that take place in it — have galvanized a group of fed-up residents to ask the City of Palo Alto once and for all to take ownership of the lane. Photo by Darlene Bouchard/Palo Alto Weekly.

The City prefers for property such as this to be privately owned as that is the excuse used when complaints are received from trailer park residents about unsafe conditions etc. Private Property is the excuse given for the refusal to respond to the overcrowded and unsafe conditions in Buena Vista Mobile Home Park. Less work for enforcement officials in every department of the city. Oh, and by the way, the county has the same attitude as the city as pertains to the trailer park.

Yes, this is the "indiana jones" ally where brave young men stand in the bed of a pickup while it drives the alley as fast as the driver can go. Many have tried but only a few brave souls have made it the entire length! YeeeHa! The wild west lives on in South Palo Alto

Where IS this property located? Can I own it by paying its back taxes?
