The Geese are playing Soccer at JLS

Original post made by Anne, South of Midtown, on Aug 17, 2008

Thirty-Six Canada Geese have taken up residence on the soccer fields at JLS. I presume they have been attracted there because the City put down a lot of fresh grass seed. Anyway, they're leaving a lot of goose poop behind!!!

Meanwhile more than 50 crows are pecking around in the middle of Mitchell Park. Us tax payers are feeding the crows with new grass seed!!

I suppose that is another reason for being pleased with the artificial fields at Gunn and Paly, no goose poop.

It is now August 24, and the geese are still there. Must be an awful lot of goose poop there now.
