The husband and people close to her @ Stanford Univ. should come up with something for us to know the real story.
Sorry for the loss...but why?

When I heard this story from a friend this Sat, I thought she was in a car when she was hit.

But this report suggests she was by herself. I smell suicide...

Jin and I were both deeply saddened by the news. I know that you and Jin used to live in the same dorm during the college years. Jin referred to you as her role model. So did I.

Hard to imagine it's an accident... So sad...

mourn.

I used to take econometrics with Ying. She is a lovely girl. I am shocked to hear this sad news.

How could this happen? It does not make sense for her to cross the railway at all, there's nothing of any interest to a usual stanford student on the east side.

To all who loved Ying:

This is a traffic accident and terrible tragedy.

Familiers have arrived here. Ying is perfect in a short life, bringing so much love, care, and help to others. We all believe she will continue all these in Heaven.

For Billi, for the old and poor-healthed parents, please tell yourself and others who may concerned, despite of this accident, she is still here, she will never leave her beloved husband, family and friends. Miss and Visit her as more as possible please.

Specially to Jie, please keep this news quiet and never talk about it at home. Give us your hand please. Ying's great mother is extremely sad, crying all the time and staying in very poor health. It is much more important to take good care of her at this time.

Thank you all.

shocked and puzzled!

what really happened? i concur with duzhe:

could any one explain the reason? i simply don't believe it's a suicide.

an alumnus of her in China.

I agree that it hurts the least for her family now to think of it as a pure accident. But if it was suicide, facing it may help prevent future tragedies like this. Also, some people actually want to know the truth in order to have a "closure".

To family,

who is jie? "Specially to Jie, please keep this news quiet and never talk about it at home."

I think if you have any concern, it is good to talk directly to your family member. It is not nice to discuss your family matter in here. Sorry but I have to say this.

We all miss her so much
Her untimely pass-away is just unacceptable to us all
Her smile, hard work, simplicity... is still around us

Ying,
May you be happy in the Heaven, no more worry...
Meeting you in my next life
Let's be classmate, friend then again

Missing you

Nancy from China
