This is so heart wrenching. He will truly be missed RIP. Black people we need to stop killing off each other the white man wants you to kill off each other so they can move in. East Palo Alto back in the days when I was growing up didn’t have as many white’s here now there coming by the handful there trying to get us out of here and your helping them. You need to stop the violence. If anyone knows what happened please call the tip line and let the police know.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of this young man. I hope that the people who murdered''Pooter'' are brought to justice. It's unfortunate that a lot of killings or shootings in East Palo Alto are never solved.A large group of youngsters in the community knows what's going on but no one will step forward and give any insight on what's happening.It's sad that young people don't value life at all these days. It's not about Black or White.....it's not about black people helping white people move us out if the community. It's not about demographics, it's about young people not valuing life and creating havoc in our communities and the people won't do anything about it. Someone lost a child and the child of someone killed that person. What are the shooters parents doing at home? I'm just at a loss for words right now!! Everyone wants to say how sad they are (AND THIS IS TRULY SAD)but when i am in these cities visiting i often see our people condoning ignorant and negative behavior in our black youth, which only encourages those behaviors. People often brag about about how they "keep it real" but i dont see the right behaviors being encouraged. We dont encourage education and hard work like our parents did for us and the respect that we used to have for eachother, our women, and our elders has deteriorated. Lets take a step back and recognize how we contribute to negativitiy before we lose another generation to this bullshit mentality

It also is not about the parents of these children either. It is about the system not letting us take care of our kids like our parents did us. The way kids talk to people and the things they do to people were not heard of 20-30 years ago. The system will not let us punish our children as we see fit. These kids know we can't punish them the way we were punished so they want to call 911 when we do. And then when the kids act up the system or others like it want to blame the parents. I know there are parents that take it to extreme and those parents should be dealt with but when you spank a child for miss behaving it should not be considered child abuse. I know EPA is a ruff place to grow up in....I lived there for 10 years. I am glad I got my kids out of there when I got the chance. I was on of the lucky ones. And for the person that said that white people are trying to move the blacks out...... You can only be moved out if you want to be. And why would the white people want you to shoot each other up? Bullets have no name and a stray one can hit one of them instead so why take the chance? And the last time I drove through I saw a lot of Pacific Islanders and Mexicans and Blacks. So before you go and start blaming the white people or the parents for the actions of our youths today look at our government. We have a non American born Governor of California that wants to do away with some of our health care. And we have rules that keep us from raising our children. THAT is who you need to focus your anger on here.

It's not about races, it's about children killing each other. It's about the loss and suffering of all the lives involved, from the victim to the killer to the family and friends of both.

Martin Luther King was a man for all races, and his words need to be heeded by everyone. Many young seem to think that his "judged by the content of his soul" means others should judge THEM that way, but they fail to make the connection that they, in turn, need to judge others that same way. These same young people need to learn to guard the content of their souls, lest, when they are judged on their souls, they have given just cause for a poor judgement.

The brightest souls are the ones that shine through adversity.
