I wish they'd act like adults and not 3rd graders on a school's student council. How about calling for a "Department of Peace" again?

From the article: "a failed resolution several years ago opposing such a preemptive strike against Iraq"... ???
(second to last sentence)

The Palo Alto City Council resolution opposing a preemptive strike against Iraq passed in 2003.

Our City Council is so easy to fool. Trot out a few residents who happen to be Iranian, along with the(I hate America)Grannies and you have all the right ingredients to force our City Council to pass a resolution on a matter that they have no jurisdiction over in the first place. What a waste of time. I didn't elect any one of these council members to pass resolutions on national issues. What are they doing? Stick to the problems and issues here in Palo Alto. We have enough of them and you were all elected to address those issues. Enough already.
