Poor Air Quality - smoke this time

Original post made by Bystander, Another Palo Alto neighborhood, on Sep 6, 2007

The smoke in our air is coming from the fire north of Sacramento, not from the Morgan Hill fire. The smoke was bad enough to delay flights at SFO.

If smoke from this fire can upset the air quality, then the smell from the garlic festival can also reach here. It is not a matter of distance, more of wind direction.

Bystander, if the Morgan Hill fire makes it to Gilroy, you'd better put your High Filtration Efficiency Maxi-Garlic-Mask on. If you breath too much of that stuff you might start speaking a Mediterranean language, or upset your peers at the Holy Church of Imagined Allergics meeting.
