The Road by Cormac McCarthy

Original post made by abbyboyd, Meadow Park, on Apr 10, 2007

I loved this book even though at one point I put it down and just thought I couldn't go on. Maybe at the baby's cracked head (not to give anything away). But I continued because I like after the apocolypse books, and because this is so well written.
I have recommended this for my book group and expect that we will have a good discussion. Two of us have already read it.
The ending is perfect.
