Q) How can you tell somebody that is from Palo Alto but has yet to leave?

A) They are still here, wasting away in the valley of Silicon, withering, like an old plum tree that once provided the most succulent tatse you could fathom.

There was an interesting thread on this very subject sometime ago. Look on the old pages for one about banning cyclists on Alma. Good luck!!

Question: How can you tell somebody isn't from Palo Alto?

He is shocked that there isn't a decent sized grocery store in town and cannot find any big box stores to do his regular shopping at.

If someone doesn't know there is a VA hospital here, they aren't from here.
And then there are those who think they are in SAN MATEO COUNTY!
