I got rollerblades that "grow" with the child for my kids. They come in a size range (ex: 4 to 6) and you can adjust the boot length so that the child can get 2or 3 years of wear. I got them at Palo Alto Toy & Sport, and they've always been pretty good about fitting rollerblades and soccer shoes.

Really speaking roller blades are not that expensive as they used to be 4 years ago. Go to WalMart and get a pair - of course - these are now made in china. Dirt cheap for new ones.

Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund
For the last 30 years, the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund has given away almost $10 million to local nonprofits serving children and families. 100% of the funds go directly to local programs. It’s a great way to ensure your charitable donations are working at home.
