Paly wins a major honor

Original post made by Paly Parent, Palo Alto High School, on Oct 18, 2006

According to today's Palo Alto Online, Paly has won an honor for being one of the best 600 achievers in the nation along with some of our elementary schools. I am so pleased to see that this time Paly has won something and not Gunn. Don't get me wrong, I think Gunn deserves the honors it wins, but I hear so often from Gunn parents, or parents of the future, just how wonderful a school Gunn is and how house prices are affected by it and also that it is understandable why so many wish to transfer there. The truth is, we have 2 great high schools. The couple of points that they are often apart in lists are really immaterial. We have good teachers in both and equally good students working really hard. It is time that kudos were given to both for being leaders in their field.
