I have never heard of this. I know that some areas have block parties and I have always wanted to do something like that. I guess I would need to begin it though by passing a letter along to my neighbors? I have more than enough time to implement such a plan and
I have always wondered how they begin. I do think it is a nice idea and can bring neighborhoods together which has benefits incase of an emergency or just for a kind wave as you are passing by.

Perhaps our Midtown Association had it's own agenda! They advertised the party that was hosted by the vice chair. In fact, that's all you saw in the press. It might be too much competition to let anyone else in midtown have a party! It might be time to review if the association reps are working for the association or themselves!

We had one at our home for our block. Anyone can host one, and the city provides information to distribute about crime prevention via Neighborhood Watch, emergency preparedness with PANDA, and pandemic flu information.
