The Palo Alto girls’ soccer team moved back among the leaders in the SCVAL De Anza Division following a 2-0 victory over host Gunn on Friday night. The Vikings (2-1, 5-5) got the eventual winning goal in just the second minute of play when center defender Helen Butler took a free kick near half field, which reached Marina Foley near the top of the box. Foley finished by placing the ball in the far right corner. In the second half, center midfielder Emy Kelty assisted to Emily Brown, who scored by chipping the ball from outside the box with her left foot over the goalie's head. Gunn fell to 1-2-1 (6-3-2).
