The Palo Alto boys' soccer team played for the championship of the Winter Classic in the East Bay on Saturday night, tying with Cal High, 1-1, following two 10-minute overtime periods. The match went to penalty kicks to decide the tourney champ and Cal High came out on top. For power points in the Central Coast Section, the outcome reportedly will go down as a tie. Cal High scored approximately midway through the first half while dominating, but Paly (3-0-1) came out strong in the second half and got the tying goal from Mark Raftrey with about 10 minutes left in regulation.
