Palo Alto kept its perfect season intact with a 42-20 nonleague romp over visiting Mountain View on Friday night. The Vikings are 9-0 for the first time since 1963 and have a chance to go 10-0 for the first time since 1950 by beating Saratoga next week.

In other CCS action, West Catholic powers Valley Christian and Bellarmine both lost on Friday night, which should move Palo Alto to No. 1 in the section and earn the Vikings an even better seed for the CCS playoffs. If Palo Alto wins as expected next week, it could earn the No. 1 seed in the Open Division playoffs.

Against Mountain View, the Vikings ran for 303 yards with Dre Hill producing a season-high 173 yards on just 11 carries. He scored on runs of 6 and 55 yards.
