With Christoph Bono throwing for four touchdowns while completing 14 of 21 passes for 293 yards, the Palo Alto football team romped to a 35-0 victory over host Milpitas in a SCVAL De Anza Division game Friday night.

Palo Alto improved to 4-0 in league and 7-0 overall. B.J. Boyd rushed nine times for 83 yards and Dre Hill added 64 yards on 13 carries. Davante Adams caught seven passes for a season-high 184 yards and two touchdowns, one for 68 yards and the second for 27. Maurice Williams caught a 59-yard TD pass and Michael Cullen caught one for a 10-yard score.

Palo Alto continued its usual thrashing of opposing teams, this time laying the destruction on the home turf of Milpitas. Given the schedule that Palo Alto has already beaten compared to the remaining schedule, there is a good chance that Palo Alto will run the table and finish the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record, which would be a first for the school. With a full host of extremely talented players, including a Stanford football commit in Kevin Anderson, the Palo Alto team looks as though it could make another run for the State Championship game, which it last did in 2006. Do to so, Palo Alto will have to finish the regular season undefeated, and then sweep through the Open Division playoffs, as they did in 2006. Right now, the two toughest teams that stand in the way of Palo Alto's state championship hopes are Bellarmine and Valley Christian, both private schools in San Jose.
