Stanford grad Oriwol qualifies for championship final of 200 back, at Pan Pacific Championships

Stanford grad, competing for Canada, qualified for the finals of the 200 back at the Pan Pacific Championships in Irvine on Friday. He swam a 1:59.56, the seventh-fastest time of the prelims.

Olympian Ryan Lochte recorded the fastest time at 1:55.26.

Stanford sophomore Matt Swanston, also competing for Canada, was 13th in the 200 back with a time of 2:00.83.

Canada's Paul Kornfeld, also a Stanford grad, finished 21st in the 50 brest with a time of 29.00.
