Stanford grad Brenda Villa scored three goals and the United States women's national water polo team downed Russia, 12-9, Wednesday night in the final round of pool play.

The U.S. will meet Canada in one quarterfinal contest at 7 p.m. Thursday. A live webcast is available through USA water polo.
