The Palo Alto Oaks remained unbeaten in Western Baseball Association action with 9-1 and 13-2 victories over the San Jose Haystacks in a doubleheader on Sunday at Baylands Athletic Center. Palo Alto (6-0) got solid pitching efforts from Matt Campbell and Grant Norlander, who limited San Jose to a combined eight hits in the two games.
Campbell allowed his first run of the season, which was unearned, and finished with 13 strikeouts while Norlander made his debut by striking out 11 and allowing just three hits. Tyler Christian homered for Palo Alto in the opening game while Allan Stiles had four hits.
