Date of competition: Tuesday, June 8, 2010
The Menlo Park Legends improved to 3-0 with a 13-3 baseball romp over the San Francisco Seals at Menlo-Atherton High on Tuesday. Jeffrey Clegg threw four scoreless innings to get the victory in his season debut. He threw just 48 pitches, allowing just three hits. Menlo Park did leave 16 runners on base, but still had enough offense to get the job done. Adam Costello provided the eventual winning run when he was plunked by a pitch with the bases loaded in the third inning. That gave the Legends their fourth run. Johnny Donati hit a sacrifice fly to make it a 5-0 game. Daniel Johnston scored on a single by Cody Larson in the fourth to make it 6-0. In the fifth, a sacrifice fly by Kellen McColl and a single by Victor Rasor-Thompson pushed the lead to 8-0. Kyle Yoshikawa singled to load the bases again and Leo Ortiz walked to make it 9-0.
