Palo Alto girls varsity soccer continued its winning streak (9-0 overall, 1-0 league) with a victory during its SCVAL DeAnza division league opener at Mayfield over visiting Homestead. Senior Midfielder Teresa Noyola scored the first goal from a direct kick, placing the ball in the far right corner. Sophomore Kelly Jenks caught the rebound off the Homestead GK to then sneak a goal right past the keep for goal number two. The third goal was started with a pass to Noyola on the right side of the field from Junior Defensive Midfielder Sammi Bengston. Noyola dribbled up the line and flicked the ball to Junior Midfielder Jessie Duller, who shot a rocket into the net. Katie Phan scored the lone goal for Homestead, which is now 3-3-1 overall and 0-1 in league play.
