The Menlo-Atherton and Menlo boys' soccer teams opened their PAL Bay Division on the Bears' field Monday, but no one came away a winner as the teams battled to a 1-1 deadlock. M-A grabbed the lead when Dimis Ayala found the net in the opening minute of the second half. A few minutes later, Menlo's Ryan Halprin was tripped in the penalty box and teammate Tristan Sansbury booted in the penalty kick for the Knights (0-0-1, 2-5-3). The Bears are now 0-0-1 (4-4-1 overall).
