The regular season in boys' tennis is all about position and preparation for the Central Coast Section playoffs. While league titles are important, registering important nonleague victories over quality programs may be even better. Palo Alto did just that on Monday with a 7-0 romp over visiting Sacred Heart Prep.

The Vikings (7-2), who lost some key players who did not return this season, nonetheless are showing they still have to be reckoned with in the postseason after winning every match in straight sets -- with none of them close. Nicky Hu, Drew Pearson, Chase Cooper and Alex Freeman swept through the singles in impressive fashion as the Gators fell to 3-3 overall.
