The nationally No. 2-ranked Stanford women's volleyball team improved to 2-0 with a 30-24, 30-24, 30-20 win over San Diego in the opening round of the Diet Coke Invitational in Minneapolis on Friday. Returning All-Americans in Cynthia Barboza and Foluke Akinradewo led the Cardinal along with freshman Alix Klineman. Barboza had 12 kills and hit at .409 clip while Akinradewo recorded 10 kills and .412 for the match. Klineman, the 2006 national high school player of the year who played on the USA Under-19 national team this summer, had 16 kills and hit .414 against the 12th-ranked Toreros.
