Annika Dries scored three goals as the Stanford women's water polo team beat San Jose State, 15-6, Sunday morning to advance to the championship match, which is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
The contest had a Sacred Heart Prep flair to it as Pallavi Menon scored twice and Vee Dunlevie added a goal for the Cardinal. Former Gator Adriana Vogt scored for the Spartans.
Menlo School grad Kim Krueger scored twice for Stanford (6-0), while M-A grad Kelly Eaton also scored.
Freshman Kate Baldoni handled goalkeeping duties, recording 10 saves in the victory.
Stanford plays California in the title match of the invitational. The Bears edged Hawaii, 8-7, Sunday morning to finish pool play at 3-0. They beat defending national champions UCLA on Saturday.
