Getting three goals in the second half, the Sacred Heart Prep boys’ soccer team moved to within one victory of clinching the West Bay Athletic League title with a 4-1 triumph over second-place Priory on Friday in Portola Valley. The first-place Gators improved to 10-0 in league (12-3 overall) and how hold a 12-point lead over the second-place Panthers (6-3, 6-5) with four matches (for SHP) remaining. Priory, with five matches to play, conceivably could still win the league title – only if the Panthers win their last five while SHP loses its last four. Freshman Joseph Bolous scored twice to pace Sacred Heart, which was still tied until Victor Ojeda was taken down in the penalty box with 43:43 gone in the match. Kyle Scherba converted the penalty kick for the eventual winning goal.
