Palo Alto took a step back in the SCVAL De Anza Division girls' soccer race following a 3-0 loss to host Mountain View on a rainy Thursday afternoon. The Vikings fell to 2-3 in league (5-5-1 overall) and now trail c0-leaders Los Gatos and Monta Vista by six points. The Vikings were outshot, 16-5, and had only a few good chances on the day.
