Castilleja moved into a first-place tie in the West Bay Athletic League (Foothill Division) girls’ soccer race with a 3-0 victory over host Notre Dame-San Jose on Thursday. The Gators (2-0, 5-2) got on the board in the 31st minute when Emily Colvin lofted a shot that bounced over the goalkeeper’s head and into the net for a 1-0 lead. In the second half, Charlotte Geaghan-Breiner passed to Emily Mosbacher, who placed her shot into the upper-left corner in the 60th minute for a 2-0 match. Just 10 minutes later, Amy Toig took the ball down the right sideline from midfield and passed it to Colvin, who beat the keeper for the final goal.
