The Menlo boys’ soccer team battled it out on a wet and muddy field at The King's Academy in Sunnyvale on Friday and wound up with a 1-1 deadlock in a West Bay Athletic League match. The outcome was both sides scoring once in the second half on shots that both beat the far post. Menlo's goal came off a blistering shot from wide right of the penalty box on a quick distribution from Timmy Costa that found Sam Parker darting down the flank to unleash his amazing shot at the 53rd minute. TKA answered at the 68th minute. Menlo (1-0-1, 2-3-1) was led with strong play from Coby Joseph, Lucas Keyt, Jack Hessel and Vikram Padval in the backfield. The Knights are now off until the first of the year.
