Four different players scored as the Stanford women's soccer team defeated visiting Sacramento State, 7-0, in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Friday night. Freshman Christen Press scored within the match's first 37 seconds with a bending shot to the near post from the left side of the box. Kelley O'Hara, Lizzy George and Kristin Stannard also scored for the Cardinal (15-2-5), which also got an own goal. Goalkeeper Erica Holland recorded the shutout. Stanford meets California on Sunday at 1 p.m. for the chance to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. The Bears beat Santa Clara, 2-0, earlier in the day. All four Pac-10 teams won its first round matches. USC beat Creighton, 3-0; and UCLA downed Cal State Fullerton, 3-1.

The final score was actually Stanford, 7-0. Christen Press scored two goals, and recorded an assist. Mimi Yuhas also scored for the Cardinal. The score was 5-0 with about five minutes remaining.
