The Menlo School girls' soccer team remained unbeaten with a 7-0 nonleague victory over visiting Summit Prep on Thursday. The Knights (2-0) started slowly but eventually found their groove and finished strongly. The first goal came 18 minutes in on a long shot by sophomore Shannon Lacy.
At 22 minutes, senior Katie Baum scored off an assist from senior Nicole Fasola, who closed out the first-half scoring by driving a ball from 15 yards out past the keeper on an nice assist from freshman Dana Gornick at 25 minutes.
Five minutes into the second half, Baum connected from close range off a long cross from senior Mila Sheeline.
Then sophomore Sophie Sheeline volleyed in another cross from her sister at 16 minutes. Freshmen Maya Norman tallied off a Fasola assist at 20 minutes. Baum completed her hat trick on an assist from sophomore Elle Laub at 25 minutes.
