Gunn junior Erin Robinson was third and senior teammate Claire O'Connell finished sixth, but defending champ Mountain View still ran away with the title at the SCVAL El Camino Division cross-country championships on Tuesday at the 2.95-mile Crystal Springs course.

Mountain View put all five of its runners among the top nine and had six in the top 11. Erin Hicks of Los Altos won the individual title in 18:29. Gunn was second in the team race with Palo Alto third. Both qualified for the Central Coast Section finals, also at Crystal Springs, on Nov. 14.
