Menlo-Atherton pretty much saw any hope of reaching the postseason disappear in a 34-7 loss to visiting Aragon on Friday in a PAL Bay Division football game. The Bears fell to 0-2 in league and 1-6 overall while the Dons won their first league game in three tries. Menlo-Atherton is averaging just 13 points a game in seven outings this season. Alof Sakalia rushed for 93 yards on 12 carries to lead the Bears, who gained 153 yards on the ground. The M-A passing attack, however, managed just 38 yards. Devonte Piper scored on a 15-yard run in the second quarter to make it a 7-7 game, but that was the highlight for the Bears as Aragon pulled away.
