While the matchup was the same, the results were not in Saturday's Central Coast Section Division III boys' soccer final between No. 1 seed King's Academy and No. 3 Sacred Heart Prep at Valley Christian-Dublin. King's Academy avenged last year's overtime loss to the Gators by posting a 2-0 victory, controlling the midfield and shutting down SHP's top offensive players. Sacred Heart Prep finished the season 17-5 and next season will move to the winter season and compete in the new West Bay Athletic League. Saturday's match for the Gators was their ninth straight appearance in the CCS Division III finals. Sacred Heart won seven such titles, the first in 1988 and the last in 2006 with a 1-0 overtime win over King's Academy. The same teams will move to the WBAL for the 2008 winter season.
