In a rematch of the CCS Division I finalists from 2008, St. Francis eked out a narrow 7-6 victory over the M-A Bears in the second round of the Scott Roche Invitational on Friday evening.

The Lancers were led by Thomas Agramonte's and Peter Olson's 3 goals each.

Menlo-Atherton got 2 goals each from seniors Eric Wright and Jed Springer.

The Bears got on the board first when Springer found the back of the net early in the game and the Bears led 2-1 after 1 quarter. St. Francis came back in the second and went ahead 4-3 on Olson's goal with 30 seconds left in the first half.

The Lancers took a 2 goal lead into the fourth period but both Springer and Wright scored to knot the game at 6 all with 4 minutes remaining. Agramonte countered moments later to regain the lead and defense took over for the final 3 minutes.

In earlier action M-A squeaked by Serra 5-4.
