The Menlo School girls' tennis team, starting freshmen at No. 1 and 2 singles, opened its season with a 6-1 nonleague victory over visiting Menlo-Atherton on Tuesday. Freshmen Giannina Ong and Saga Shermis made their prep debuts, with Ong losing to M-A senior Marietta Tuionetoa (6-3, 6-0) and Shermis beating Paige Keating, 6-3, 6-4.
