Stanford beat visiting Oregon, 30-24, 27-30, 30-19, 30-17, in a Pac-10 women's volleyball match on Thursday night. Alix Klineman led the Cardinal with 16 kills, followed by Foluke Akinradewo with 13, Cynthia Barboza with 12 kills and Erin Waller with 10 kills. Stanford (10-2, 21-2) used an early 10-3 run to turn a four-point deficit into an advantage en route to the game one victory. Oregon (5-7, 16-8) closed to within 22-20, but the Cardinal hung on. Stanford had a 27-26 lead in game two but the Ducks scored the next four points for the win. Stanford, which hit .303 for the match, never trailed in the third game, and used a 21-6 in the fourth game to forge the victory.
