With Stanford grads Tony Azevedo, Peter Varellas and Layne Beaubien accounting for half the goals, the United States men's senior national water polo team opened the medal round of the FINA World League Super Final with a 10-7 victory over Australia on Friday in Podgorica, Montenegro.

The Americans meet host Montenegro in the semifinals of the Super Final.
