G4 – Quarterfinals vs Branham Hills Thunder. Branham Hills jumped out to the early lead, up 4 – 2 after the first inning even though Palo Alto sent 8 batters to the plate (stranded 3). But in the 2nd, Megan Ostrom led off with a walk, and lead off Jessie Kim followed with a single, but then the next two batters went down on strike outs, but Maya Heron reached on a dropped third strike. So with no runs across, bone out, bases loaded, Katie Garvey hit a clutch 2 RBI single to start a 6 run rally. Sophie Sweezy & Lauren Graf each followed with singles. Sophie Frick ended the inning on trying to stretch a double into a HR, and was thrown out on a close play at the plate. Palo Alto batted around again in the 3rd, putting 8 more runs on the board in the third, highlighted by Megan McKinney’s RBI single. Final Score Palo Alto 16, Branham Hills 6
