G1 was Saturday morning vs the Los Gatos – Saratoga Magic, fist pitch 8:00am. After departing Palo Alto before 6am, the girls woke up the foggy Salinas neighborhoods with the ping, ping, ping, of offensive softball. In the tournament time shortened game, the Heat scored 11 runs off 10 hits, defeating the Magic 11-6. Clean up batter Sophie Frick went 3 for 3, with 2 singles, a double, and 2 runs scored. Jessie Kim and had 2 hits and scored 2 runs. Riley Fossum has 2 hits, and scored one. Mackenzie Glassford, the Heat starting pitcher, carried the load for this game, and all but a few innings in the tournament.
