Stanford Swimming teammates Caitlin Reynolds and Angela Duckworth finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the women's 1500-meter freestyle on Thursday's opening night of the Santa Clara International Grand Prix at the George F. Haines International Swim Center in Santa Clara. Reynolds clocked 17:16.17 with Duckworth coming home in 17:24.00. Gunn High's Casey Lincoln, who swims for Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics, was 17th in 17:50.61. Amber McDermott of Mill Creek, Wash., won the race in 16:38.06.
The meet, which features more than 20 Olympians, continues through Sunday with finals each evening at 5 p.m. Prelims each morning start at 9 a.m.
