The USA Men’s Senior National Team and Serbia battled for the third and final time at a jam-packed Avery Aquatic Center on the campus of Stanford University on Sunday, and for the second day in a row the game ended in a draw. This exhibition water polo match saw a high-scoring affair end at 13-13 thanks to a Jeff Powers goal with under a minute remaining. The tie leaves Team USA with one loss and two ties against Serbia. Stanford grad Peter Varellas tallied three goals for the USA with Cardinal grad Thomas Hopkins adding one. Next up for Team USA will be the FINA World League Super Final in Montenegro.
