The Stanford women's volleyball team fell out of a first-place tie in the Pac-10 after dropping a 28-30, 30-25, 30-24, 30-28 decision to host USC on Saturday. The third-ranked Cardinal (9-2, 20-2) never trailed in winning the first game, and were within reach late in games two and four before losing. Foluke Akinradewo led Stanford with 20 kills while Cynthia Barboza added 18. Freshman libero Gabi Ailes recorded 31 digs.
