Top-seeded Menlo advanced to the semifinals of the Central Coast Section team tournament with a 7-0 rout of visiting Menlo-Atherton on Monday in a quarterfinal match. The Knights (22-2) will face No. 5 St. Ignatius (21-3) on Wednesday in one semifinal at noon at Courtside Tennis Club in Los Gatos. The other semifinal will have No. 2 Bellarmine (21-1) against No. 3 Palo Alto (21-3) at 2 p.m. The winners will advance to Friday's CCS title match at Courtside at 2 p.m., with both teams qualifying for the NorCal Tournament.

As was the case in the team's previous meeting, Menlo dominated unseeded Menlo-Atherton (17-5) while winning every match in straight sets. The Knights' singles lineup of Daniel Hoffman, Jamin Ball, Max Glenn and Patrick Chase lost only a combined 12 games while the doubles tandems of Justin Chan-Andrew Carlisle, Ryan Duggal-Kyle Sum and Jonathan Katzman-Brian Peltz lost only seven games combined.

St. Ignatius advanced with a 5-2 win over Burlingame; Palo Alto eliminated visiting Aptos, 5-2; and Bellarmine ended Gunn's season with a 6-1 victory at the Decathlon Club in Santa Clara.
