Gunn senior Marcus Anderson grabbed center stage by clearing a personal best of 6-foot-4 to win the high jump during the Titans’ 91-27 rout of visiting Monta Vista in a SCVAL De Anza Division track and field meet on Thursday. With the outcome of the final regular-season meet already decided, Anderson won the event at 6 feet. He then jumped 6-2 on his second attempt and 6-3 on his third attempt. By that time, most the Gunn athletes had made their way over to the high jump pit to watch Anderson attempt 6-4, which he made on his third jump to join the Central Coast Section leaders. Elsewhere, Paul Summers swept the mile and 800, Charles Chisom won the 100 and 200 with fast hand times while Kazzie Hill took the long jump and triple jump.
