At Hoover Park in Palo Alto on April 16, LPM topped Old Pro 4-2 in a Palo Alto Little League game. Sean Weller pitched a complete game for LPM, allowing only 1 hit (a double by Noah Phillips) and 1 earned run while striking out 10. Old Pro also saw good pitching performances by Griffin Cool, Jai Correa, and Noah Phillips, who combined to strike out 6 LPM batters. Old Pro limited LPM’s scoring with clutch strikeouts, and the defensive play of the game by Old Pro right fielder Tench Coxe who turned what would have been Jack Simison’s line-drive base hit into a 9-3 putout with a strong throw to first. LPM’s offense featured a 3-for-3 night by Rowan McEvoy, as well as hits by Ravi Levens, Sean Weller, Willie Barnett, and Max Tannewald, along with doubles by Roy Shadmon and Jasper McEvoy.
