Charles Chisom and Paul Summers each had their third straight double-event victories and Gunn (3-1) received plenty of solid second-and-third-place finishes on its way to a 79-48 victory over host Milpitas in a SCVAL De Anza Division dual meet on Thursday. Chisom swept the sprints, taking the 100 in a hand-timed 10.8 and the 200 in a hand-timed 21.6. Summers took the 800 in 2:06.2 and the 1,600 in 4:33.0. Gunn sophomore Josh Jackson showed that he’s finally rounding into shape following basketball season and took second in both the 100 and 200 in addition to anchoring the winning 1,600 relay. Senior Marcus Anderson added a big 6-2 leap to win the high jump. Gunn will visit Palo Alto next Thursday in the annual rivalry meet.
