It was a quick day for the Menlo College softball team, which dropped a pair of home games to NAIA top-ranked Cal Baptist in a nonconference doubleheader on Friday.

The Oaks suffered a five-inning no-hitter in the opener, 11-0, and got one hit (Susanne Thomsen) in a 9-0 setback in the second game. Cal Baptist improved to 45-3 on the season while Menlo falls to 8-21 overall.

The Oaks return to action with a California Pacific Conference doubleheader on Wednesday at Holy Names.
