Junior Sunny Margerum won four events and senior Allegra Mayer ran to a pair of victories to help carry the Gunn girls’ track and field team to a 70-57 triumph over visiting Los Altos in a SCVAL De Anza Division dual meet on Thursday. Margerum won the 100 high hurdles in 15.25, took the 300 hurdles in 47.52, won the 100 in 12.62 and captured the long jump with a mark of 17-4 ½. All rank among the best in the Central Coast Section this season and are some of her best marks ever.

Mayer won the mile in a good 5:21.53 and doubled back with an 11:40.48 to win the two-mile. Gunn also had important second places in the hurdles by sophomore Kiana Choroski (100 HH) and junior Claire O'Connell (300LH). Freshman Julia Maggioncalda, who just finished playing basketball, took seconds in the high jump and long jump. Fellow freshman and basketball teammate Kieran Gallagher ran a solid 2:21.30 to win the 800.
