Chris Mazza had three hits and drove in four runs, Joel Hull had two hits and drove in three runs, and Brian Priestley pitched 7 1-3 innings of shutout relief as the Menlo College baseball team beat host Whittier, 11-4, in the California Classic on Saturday.
The Oaks (6-9) play Ithaca (4-2) in the final game of the Classic at Claremont on Sunday.
Mazza led off the third with a home run, singled home two runs in the fourth and added an RBI double in the eighth.
Priestley (4-1) took over after the Poets scored four times and settled in to pitch a three-hitter the rest of the way.
