Stanford junior All-American outfielder Alissa Haber, on a day former Stanford great Jessica Mendoza was looking on, continued to perform at Mendoza-like standards.

Haber hit a home run, her fourth of the season, and collected two hits as the Cardinal softball team beat Vermont, 3-0, Sunday in the Stanford Louisville Slugger Invitational.

Haber, Stanford's leadoff hitter, upped her season average to .513, her on-base percentage to .650 and her slugging percentage to .900, all team bests. She also leads the team in hits (41), doubles (13) and runs (31), and is third with the four home runs.

Chinn (9-0) threw a three-hitter for her third shutout, her second in succession, and extending to 22 innings without allowing an earned run.

The Cardinal (23-1) extended its on-going school record to 22 consecutive victories.

Melisa Koutz added two hits, including a double, and drove in a run.
